Playboy Signature eu de deodorant and Playgirl Sensuous body spray have taken top honours in their respective categories at the 2018 Product of the Year awards hosted this week in Johannesburg, South Africa. Speaking of the win, brand manager Matthew Dees says that it’s an incredible honour for the brands to win – across the male and female deodorant categories.

“It’s fantastic to be awarded these two prestigious titles, and even more wonderful to have had our consumers voting for us.” Product of the Year is South Africa’s largest independent consumer-voted survey which celebrated 10 years of rewarding innovation and excellence in the country.

Dees says that Playboy Signature is a product that makes a lasting impression.  “We explain the range as offering twice the fragrance compared to the existing Playboy deodorant range. Signature boasts 4 fragrances – Bold, Presence, Ambition and Legend and is tailored for a man on the move, a man who makes his presence felt.”

On the flip side, the Playgirl deodorant is playful in its fragrance and its appearance. Dees says that the fragrance invites you to step into your sensuous side. “Based on top performing international fine fragrance trends, this new scent is all about nightlife and style. With base notes of vanilla, rose mid notes and citrus top notes, the wearer is sure to turn heads.”

Dees says that Playgirl has had a meteoric rise in popularity and is now South Africa’s number 1 female body spray brand. “We’re very proud of the performance of both male and female brands over the past 12 months and we’d like to take the opportunity to thank the South Africans that voted for the brands.”
